Law Enforcement Requests

These guidelines explain how law enforcement can contact Popcorn AI Tech Inc., operating as Ditto, about legal process, preservation requests, and emergencies. Our handling of personal information is also described in our Privacy Policy.

Where to send a request

Send requests from an official agency email address to team@ditto.ai with the subject “Law enforcement request.” Include the requesting officer's name, title, agency, official contact information, case reference, and the applicable legal process or basis for the request. Emailing us does not waive any applicable service-of-process requirements.

Information to include

How requests are reviewed

We review the requesting party's identity, the legal basis, jurisdiction, and scope of the request. We may request clarification, seek a narrower request, or object where appropriate. Disclosure is limited to information we hold and may lawfully disclose; an informal request alone does not authorize access to private account information. We consider user notification where appropriate and permitted by law.

Preservation requests

Send a preservation request to the same address, identifying the accounts, records, date range, requested preservation period, and legal basis. Preservation and disclosure are separate processes. A preservation request does not itself authorize disclosure or guarantee that particular records exist.

Emergency requests

For a request involving an imminent risk of death or serious physical injury, use the subject “Emergency law enforcement request.” Describe the emergency, who is at risk, the information needed, why ordinary legal process cannot be obtained in time, and how an authorized officer can be reached immediately. We assess emergency requests under applicable law. This email address is not a guaranteed real-time emergency response channel; contact the appropriate emergency services for immediate help.

Reports from users

Users can report safety concerns to team@ditto.ai. These guidelines do not grant private parties access to another user's information. Call local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.
